Room Carpeting Quantity And Cost Calculator

This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This calculator is designed to give a valid representation of the carpet (or linoleum) quantity required, the cost of it (and related materials such as padding, tack strips, backing tape, etc.) and the cost of the labor involved for the project. (If you are doing the labor yourself, enter a zero (0) as the labor cost.) Room sizes should be in feet, rounded up to the next largest foot if there are inches involved. Costs should be entered in dollars, a decimal and cents. Include the cost of padding, backing tape and other materials in the cost of the carpet on a per yard basis, or add the total manually after the calculation. Click the Calculate button for all fields to be calculated. To do another, click the Clear Values button and then enter a new set of values. You may also wish to just change certain fields and recalculate. Calculated accuracy of current Javascript enabled browsers is generally 16 places, however, these results are rounded to make life easy. Remember that sizes must be considered as approximate due to material texturing, patterns, carpet grain and mill run sizes. Much is dependent on the installer's ability to conserve material and the size of the room in relation to the size of the carpet rolls, especially in larger rooms or odd shaped rooms.
